Ryan Wang, Co-founder and General Partner of Outpost Capital, is recognized globally as a technology futurist and business executive in the Artificial Intelligence, Spatial Computing, and Frontier Technology industries. Established in 2015, Outpost Capital is a leading cross-border early-stage venture fund based in the United States and Asia, focusing on frontier technology investments.
For over a decade, he has been actively collaborating with top tech companies including Meta and Google, and top research institutions including MIT Media Lab as an advisor, consultant, or partner. Having a multicultural background and proven track records, Ryan oversees companies in North America, Europe, and Asia with solid insights and strong connections in both markets.
Ryan has been frequently featured by international media including Forbes, Economists, and WSJ, and invited to deliver keynote speeches at numerous conferences globally. Early in his career, he compiled a comprehensive and successful career as an investment banker at Citigroup and Societe Generale in New York City.
Outside of work, Ryan is passionate about education and social impact. In 2017, he was a coach at the Nanyang Technology University Startup Case Challenge program. Then in 2018 and 2019, Ryan was a guest lecturer at the University of Southern California School of Cinematic Arts. He was also an industry speaker and contributed to the Metaverse program at the University of Washington in 2021 and 2022.
